Vicious8899: Dan sheaths his dagger and walks over to check that Garrith has not hurt himself, "You alright there?"

VenerableUlfric: Grumbling and muttering something about foul dreams, Garrith gets to his feet, brushing himself off. "Im Fine... Just Fine..."
WhiteKnight8103: Nick sits up and cracks his neck several times before standing.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith sets his shoulders and nods to Nick, "Indeed we do Sir Nicholas."

VenerableUlfric: Grinning widely, Garrith says in a serious tone. "Don't forget Del's map to the moathouse."
Vicious8899: Dan looks Garrith up and down and shrugs as he doesn't seem to be as bad off as the night before. He then walks back to the table and sits in the chair.
Vicious8899: Dan looks back at the table and picks up the map and his writing utensils and places them in his pouch, "Thanks for reminding me."
WhiteKnight8103: "Yes, we must bring that along," Sir Nicholas says, donning his armor slowly, doing it correctly.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith grins to Del, "Indeed! .. Do you have anything to wrap it in? ... We must be on our way."
WhiteKnight8103: "Don't forget your ink and pen young sir," Del says, blinking off the morning light and turning around, ready to brew some more tea.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith observes the shed with scrutiny as if looking for something. "Now where is that blasted thing?."
Vicious8899: Dan shakes his head, " I got the map and my stuff in my pouch."
VenerableUlfric: "Ahhh .... Here it is." Garrith reaches over to the spear leaning against the wall and takes it in hand.
WhiteKnight8103: Nick grabs his sword and ties it to its respective place at his side. He buckles the shield on its hanging strap on the left side and loads his three polished and very sharp silver daggers into their slots in his vest.
WhiteKnight8103: Nick lets out another yawn, taking a glance looking out the window.
WhiteKnight8103: "Good, not to early yet," he says.
VenerableUlfric: Looking himself over, Garrith checks his secure ties on his belt pouch and then stretches out his arms above his head, yawning unsurreptiously.
WhiteKnight8103: The sun's rays are just breaking through the tree's and lighting the surrounding area. (by our standards it is roughly 6:30 am)
Vicious8899: Dan takes out his dagger again and starts examining the edge, "Damn it, that stupid Gnoll. He dulled my dagger when he pushed me over. Could I borrow your whetstone for a second Nick?"
WhiteKnight8103: Nick grabs his greatsword, tying its holder to the buckles at the back of his armor. "And the world stirs awake, to repeat the motions of the past.." he mumbles...
WhiteKnight8103: Nick sticks his hand in one of his pouches hanging around his waist. A second later he pulls out his whetstone and tosses it to danielson.
WhiteKnight8103: Nick pulls on his pack and waterskins, and the rest of his belongings that remained on the floor.

VenerableUlfric: Garrith walks over to Nick, as if seeing something on his face. Garrith pats Nick on the shoulder. "Don't worry Lad.. he will be alright."

Vicious8899: Danielson looks over at Nick and quietly whispers a prayer for Nick's father as he finishes sharpening the dagger.
WhiteKnight8103: "Thanks Del. Hey Garrith, think Del could have that meld of silver?" Nick asks politely.

Vicious8899: Dan mutters under his breath about how having so much stuff takes up to much time, but then chuckles to himself and tosses the whetstone back to Nick, "Thanks" he says and resheaths the dagger as he stands up to stretch
VenerableUlfric: Garrith doesn't hesitate in pulling the melted silver nugget out of his pocket and hands it to Nick. "Do what you wish with it lad."

VenerableUlfric: Garrith grins widely, "My lad... you have a sorceror with you ... I have all sorts of ranged weapons."
Vicious8899: Dan shrugs and puts the map back into his pouch as they continue down the path.

VenerableUlfric: Garrith continues "And to answer your question about my shields... I unfortunately can only protect myself with them."
WhiteKnight8103: "I shall use my longsword then, I need some shield to protect me. At least it has spikes," he says.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith nods to Nick, "But there are limits even to the strength of arms. Some things are just beyond any of you."
WhiteKnight8103: "There are things beyond all of us. Perhaps even beyond Pelor..."
Vicious8899: "I could probably draw its fire while you flank the beast Nick...that might help"
VenerableUlfric: Garrith's face becomes grim and with a serious tone. "I just hope its not very big."
WhiteKnight8103: "Wouldn't want to rain on this parade any more then we have already. You know, we probably could have found someone to help us in the town...."
Vicious8899: Dan shrugs, "Little late for that now"

WhiteKnight8103: "Oh...I totally forgot about that.Well, I have a lot of rope, as you can see," he quietly replies, motioning to the rope hanging from his backpack.
Vicious8899: Danielson looks at it skeptically..."Do you plan to swing in there? That wouldn't work to well I believe"
WhiteKnight8103: "I'm sure there is a way we can make a temporary rope type bridge...or we could swing...I'm not sure. We need to survery the situation."
Vicious8899: "Indeed, but we should be thinking about that as we walk there"
WhiteKnight8103: "I agree. I am not sure. Del said the bridge was rotted, it may still be alright if we go one at a time..."
WhiteKnight8103: "hmmmm....how did the clerics and gnolls get in there over such a bridge?"
Vicious8899: "I'm not sure, but we must be careful...Lethal creatures inhabit water as well, and personally I hate any of those more than I hate dragons"

WhiteKnight8103: Nick sits down to think, polishing one of his daggers quietly.
Vicious8899: (would it be possible to rig my crossbow to shoot a grappling hook?)

WhiteKnight8103: Nick, apparently satisfied with the state of the current dagger, replaces it and puts away the polishing stuff. He pulls off 50ft of silk rope and begins to tie knots every few feet.

WhiteKnight8103: Nick, finally finished, begins to coil up the rope.
VenerableUlfric: Feeling fully prepared for the tests ahead, Garrith stands backup looking more focused.
Vicious8899: Dan looks up into the sky presses his hands together and rests his thumbs on his forehead as he says a quiet prayer.

VenerableUlfric: Garrith nods silently to Nick as if in deep thought. And begins to follow down the path cautously.
Vicious8899: Dan draws a sunburst symbol in the dirt and kisses his hand and smooths the symbol over with it. He then stands back up and follows after Nick.

WhiteKnight8103: This small ruined fortress is little more than a stone manor and a walled courtyard with a tower, now collapsed. The upper story of the manor has fallen in entirely. It was apparently made mostly of wood, and only smashed
WhiteKnight8103: and charred timbers remain. The condition of the manor's interior is questionable. All is quiet other than the buzzing of mosquitoes, which are thick, since little life makes its presence known around the moathouse.

WhiteKnight8103: (you need a piece of cured leather as the focus, but for the hell of it we'll say you have one fo rnow)

WhiteKnight8103: About a hundred feet ahead of you is the old bridge. Ten yards in front of you and to the right is a pair of small ponds, apparently split off from the moat due to its age.
Vicious8899: Dan looks back at his companions, "You guys ready?"
WhiteKnight8103: Nick nods solemnly. He walks forward towards the old bridge, looking at the tracks, deep in thought. As he does so, he grabs his shield and draws his longsword.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith glances to the bridge and then glances to the two small ponds and the moat curiously.
Vicious8899: Dan follows Nick and kisses his hands and says another quiet prayer.
VenerableUlfric: Garrith shrugs and hesitantly follows after Dan towards the bridge.
WhiteKnight8103: The path leads to a rotten, slightly bowed drawbridge that corsses the water. Four new planks lie atop the rotted wood.
WhiteKnight8103: "I think that solves our problem dan..." he mumbles, glancing around, his eyes darting everywhere, observing everything.
Vicious8899: Dan nods as he glances up in the sky to make sure the dragon isn't there
WhiteKnight8103: Nick steps on the bridges, crossing using the new planks
VenerableUlfric: Garrith whispers to the group quietly "Let's not all cross at once to distribute the weight on the bridge better."
Vicious8899: Dan nods and waits for Nick to get to the other side
WhiteKnight8103: Nick safely reaches the other side, and peers through the open gates, but is not able to see much.
Vicious8899: Dan starts across the bridge
WhiteKnight8103: Nick bows his head and whispers, "May Pelor guide my blade....for my fathers sake..."
VenerableUlfric: Garrith observes the area as Dan crosses and gazes to the skies wearily.
Vicious8899: Dan reaches the other side and treds silently on the ground and tries to blend in with the wall

WhiteKnight8103: You hear the screech and know almost instinctly to move. You jump to the left and are standing next to Garrith. You see Sir Nicholas on the otherside of the door with his eyes close and sword held vertically, ready to hit the beast.
VenerableUlfric: (i would much rather always make a high defensive roll and a low offensive roll then the other way around.)

WhiteKnight8103: You hear the beast jump the ground, its weight shaking the large fortress. Some debris falls through the cracks of the room. (desc after battle?)
